Flash tips

I finished my Flash project this afternoon, and thought I'd post a few tips/reminders that might help you all get through it faster and with less trouble. If you're like me, you're still a little shaky and have forgotten a few things since the last time we had class.

One: I created each object on a different layer - it takes up time but I think it keeps it simple by keeping the objects separated
Two: I'd create anything (text or object) that you wish to remain stationary during the clip in the first layer - then move on to creating other (moving) objects and text.
Three: Make sure you are converting things to symbols [Modify - convert to symbol]
Four: When you are trying to create the fading text, convert it to a symbol (graphic style) and then create your new keyframe, after this click back on the text you want to fade and look in the lower toolbar on the right hand side for "text effects" or something like that (I'm not looking at it right now) click and hold, drag to "alpha" and then when the % bar pops up, drag it down to 0%.

Make sure you take your time and click around, I found the tutoring sites that Lannie sent us somewhat helpful- except on the text effects: I think that it explains a different version...I could be wrong.

Hope this has helped a little.
