Wheaton seminary

www.wheaton.edu is the website for Wheaton college and seminary. The design is simple and is very similar to most college's websites. There are drop-down menus on the top and navigation on the left side.

Homestarrunner

Homestarrunner is a website that I found in high school. It is pretty funny but also very dumb. It uses flash animation, and the entire website is filled with videos and audio clips. It is purely for entertainment, and I also like the way that the home page is always changing to a different design.

Nooma

www.nooma.com is Rob Bell's website for his Nooma video series. The homepage is fairly traditional. The color scheme is basically white and turquoise. Along the bottom of the screen are previews of each of the DVD's. The website is simple but functional.

Derek Webb

Derek Webb is another musician, his website portrays a style that is similar to David Crowder's, however, the design is a more traditional type. The menus are on the left, and there is a main news feed in the center of the page.

David Crowder band

David Crowder Band's website is a very interesting design, I feel. The website is simple, it is a plain white background. The menu's are very different and however they are easy to interpret. The titles on the menus are not placed on the actual menus but are put on a screen at the top left corner.

Arkansas Baptist Newsletter

This website is for the Arkansas Baptist convention's newsletter, the website is informative and easy to navigate, but I feel that as a whole it is boring. The colors do not serve to catch one's eye and the font layout for the menus on the left are terrible. I believe that if this website was redesigned then it would much better serve the newsletter.

Steep and Cheap

steapandcheap.com is a website that my friends recently showed me. It is a very simple website with basically one page. They sell outdoor equipment and only sell one item until it is gone and then they place a new item. There are pretty good deals on the items. It is a very simple design, but it is very simple.
music.yahoo.com

This website uses a controled pallete of color and also is kind of complex in design. It is very busy but still works well. It would be a good example of a template or just very modern layout design in the design world.
shopzilla.com

I liked the layout of this webpage. It was easy to navigate and also had a template design that was interesting. Good to look at for ideas
answers.com

This is a website the cleary has the answers for you. If you are stuck on something visit this site and you can find out helpful information to your questions.
flickr.com

This is a rapidly growing wesite that has a free version that you just upload pictures to and is spread out by interest. Would be good to search for pictures and begin uploading your own to the web.
www.digitalgallery.nypl.org

This webisite is good if you want to look at rare prints, manuscripts, vintage maps or other "arty" thingsfrom the New York Public Library. This would be a good wesite to gather background in some art ideas.
I was looking at websites in thinking about the template aspect of them and decided that OBU's website is a great example of how to use templates. It clearly reflects the same idea in all the pages so you can tell a template was used.
